SEA2LAND consortium is composed by 27 partners, representing research organisations from by-products, valorisation, technologies and agronomy; industry from fish/aquaculture sectors, fertiliser sector, technology sector, including also aquaculture, fisheries and environmental consulting; management and dissemination; and business plan development, farmer representing. Partners come from 9 EU Member States (Spain, Norway, Estonia, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, France, Malta and Croatia) and two non-EU countries (Switzerland and Chile).
Some of research organisations are also institutions whose mission is to provide advice to end- users, government and farmers associations as well as to fishery industry.

NEIKER is a public R&D company that brings expertise in agricultural production systems (traditional, integrated and organic), its viability and sustainability, quantifying the possible environmental impacts caused by agricultural practices and proposing new agricultural practices. NEIKER also focuses on bio- economy and circular economy studying new technologies for wastes and by-products treatment and the reuse of organic wastes as a new resource for agricultural purposes.

It is an SME that produces fishmeal and fish oil for animal feed using fish wastes currently working in diversification of products and the introduction of new technologies in order to produce high-value seafood products.

BETA TC, at University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia, brings expertise on Membrane technologies, Freeze concentration, Biodrying, Thermal treatment + P-ash recovery and Acid Scrubber, to recover nutrients from by-products of the aquaculture sector. BETA TC is FERTIMANURE project coordinator and clustering work will be mainly implemented through WP2, and WP9.

FERTINAGRO is a private company belonging to the business group Tervalis Desarrollo, which is a leader supplier of fertilisers for agriculture in Spain, with 18 production plants located in Spain and France. It provides great experience in the development of processes to obtain new highly efficient fertilisers through the valorisation of different raw materials such as manure, by-products or biomass from other processes. It also has a strong background on the study of soil microbiome by NGS and other approaches.

NIBIO is a public national R&D institute under the Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food. It brings extensive experience on evaluation of organic residues for agricultural use, fish sludge from aquaculture. Fertiliser value of organic rest products was its main focus in the past, but recently NIBIO focus on environmental performance such as leachability and potential to induce emission of GHG.
